Week 33 - A Contemplation to Attain Love
Theme:
The theme of this meditation is:
A CONTEMPLATION TO ATTAIN LOVE
The final note is reserved for love.
Love is where it all began and love is what brings everything to completion.
The love which is in ourselves and the love for others.
We are being called by Him to love one another.
After celebrating Pentecost, the coming of the Holy Spirit will help us.
What I might wish to ask:
That I am able to see that living a life of love really is possible.
That it is precisely this which gives meaning to my life and to the lives of all people.
God’s Holy Spirit is at the very centre of my life.
The Holy Spirit inspires me to live my life with Jesus, with God, in mind.
Song:
Ubi caritas et amor, ubi caritas Deus ibi est
Where charity and love are, God is there.
1 John 4, 7 – 10
Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God, and he who loves is born of God and knows God.
He who does not love does not know God; for God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins.

Ubi Caritas
Impulses to help prayer:
‘He who loves is born of God and knows God! God loves ME. What effect do these words have on me? Can I recall any moments when I felt loved?
*
I consider the great love which God has for each one of us. Can I see that in my life?
*
The only thing I am required to do is to do the same as God: to love. Easy to say, but how do I actually do that?
